Rapt In Racing has put together an all budget catered package which we’re offering up in ten shares. For just two easy payments twelve months apart you’ll own a share in a Victorian performed race dog which, given his racing style, appears highly suited to the Perth racing scene and in particularly Cannington and two superbly bred young pups.
The purchase, road and air transport and twelve months of training fees for the greyhound are taken care of in your two payments so your expense
predominantly ends at the completion of the second payment. With the two pups, the purchase costs, rearing, breaking in, spelling, pre-training and all travel expenses are also included. As with all the packages Rapt In Racing puts together the aim is to attempt to provide longevity in the sport for the shareholders. A race dog with twelve to fifteen months racing and two superbly bred pups could provide the syndicate with the best part of four years of racing entertainment.
Two very affordable payments twelve months apart are all it cost to get your family involved in a share in the newly created Letting It Ride Syndicate.
This will be one of the final syndicates Rapt In Racing puts together for the time being. With what we currently have and what remains in the immediate pipeline, it will be our optimum work load. It will be at a level which we can handle but it will be capped. So other than what has been pre-arranged, further new syndicate opportunities will be absent for the immediate future.
Rapt In Racing has acquired a current racing greyhound by the name of Let It Ride. It has had just 35 starts winning four races and placed another five times. The attractive nature of this greyhound is that three of its wins have been over the staying trips. After winning a maiden over the 424 metres at Warragul it was stepped up in distance and it has achieved a handy win at Sandown over the 700 metres, a very good win at The Meadows over the 600 metres and another one at Warragul over the 680 metres.
It comes to Western Australia superbly grade which means we have many middle distance low graded races which we’re eligible for. I believe it will
prove competent over the 530 metres at Cannington as well as the 642 metre journey and if so there are plenty of opportunities for the greyhound.Let it Ride is an August 2007 whelping which means he has anywhere from twelve to eighteen months racing left in him. With only 35 starts under his belt he has in the vicinity of twice that many again should he remain fit and sound.
He will come to WA and enter the Christine “Diamond” Bennett kennels. We have negotiated a deal with Christine where the training fees are all covered for the racing life of the greyhound.
We have two female pups from two different litters and that gives us further diversification. Both pups are superbly bred from proven lines. One of the pups is Westchase registered which means it’s eligible for all WA bred bonuses and races.
![]() One pup is currently three months of age while another is around eight weeks old.
The three month old pup is sired by the fastest ever Wentworth Park Maiden winner, Group One winner and Wentworth Park track record holder in Collision and out of a daughter of prolific city win and group race finalist producing Magic Maisy. Every Magic Maisy litter to hit the track so far has won city races.
The eight week old pup, which we will take
Let It Ride will be under the expert care of trainer Christine “Diamond” Bennett. She has agreed to take the dog on under terms which will see the Letting It Ride Syndicate receive 80% of stake money from wins, seconds and thirds.
![]() The newly created syndicate will be run on and in accordance with the Rapt In Racing Syndicate terms and conditions as at the 1st December 2009.
All stake money is collected by Rapt In Racing and held in trust until each share has a minimum of $500. Once that figure is reached amounts are transferred out to each member’s nominated account. Flexibility exists though for those wishing to have lesser amounts transferred sooner.
When it comes time for the pups to hopefully be trained we will weigh up who we approach. Rapt In racing uses mainly trainers Christine Bennett, Jim Millsteed and Jack Fleming. The two payments do not cover the two pups training fees but, depending on the level of ability they occupy, we can approach a trainer to train on the fifty fifty terms which means no fees are charged but the trainer takes 50% of all stake money from first second and third placings. Trainers acquire all 4th placed stakes and unplaced payments.
As with each and every Rapt In Racing syndicate, all individual members are provided with log in details to the Rapt In Racing website's syndicate section. This will grant access to the Letting It Ride Syndicate which is in the process of being created.this obviously contains notifications of all syndicate races, previews and race reports, winning video replays, the syndicate member’s photos and the financial position of the syndicate. All in all it contains all the relevant syndicate information and it is available to you upon your log in.
Early notification of upcoming races occur upon the official release of the race fields but a more indepth assessment is posted a day or two preior to the actual race which the syndicate dog is contesting.
Two payments of $1,475 (One Thousand Four Hundred and Seventy Five Dollars) is payable from each share. The first payment is due by the 12th July 2010 and then the second payment isn’t due until twelve months later being the 30th June 2011. Those two payments are the extent of the costs other than any vet bills that may arise. The vet bills are extremely rare and usually insignificant amounts if they do occur but the syndicate has to cover them on a share percentage basis.
The Letting It Ride Syndicate will be run in conjunction with the Rapt In Racing terms and conditions as at the 31st December 2009.
Putting together a competent racing greyhound and two superbly bred pups provides the entrance for anyone wishing to get a taste of greyhound racing at an extremely affordable rate. With hopefully the three to four years of family entertainment and hobby interests which we’re trying to provide, it is extremely good value for money and it’s a good package to experience to find out if you enjoy the sport.
You will meet some fantastic people through your involvement should you wish to get trackside to watch your greyhounds race. There are however
no obligations in the way of having to make the trip to the track if you would rather be involved from a distance. That is entirely up to the individual. As with everything Rapt In Racing offers up, I have done and will continue to do everything required to give all members every chance at success. However, the nature of greyhound racing is one of high unpredictability, carrying substantial risk and we need everyone to be well aware of that prior to taking up a share.
Rapt In Racing does not want to be the reason you and or your family suffer any financial distress should things not go according to plan. I do everything within my power to make sure these projects are a success but I repeat and emphasize that greyhound racing is a high risk sport and often disappointment occurs. I cannot guarantee anything other than my efforts and attention to detail.
As always I personally take up one share in every syndicate I put together. I will not offer up anything in which I am not prepared to put my own money into. Furthermore, in backing in what I put together, should any of the available shares not be accepted then I will purchase the balance of them.
So if you would like to get in on this offer and become one of the members of the Letting It Ride Syndicate, you’re more than welcome. I am extremely confident that a great deal of enjoyment will be had by all members as given what the racing greyhound Let It Ride has done in the east and in particular its style of racing, it should be very competitive in low city graded races and trips over the 642 metres.
The greyhound Let It Ride has arrived in Perth and has been transported down to Christine Bennett's establishment. It is not far away from making its debut in Perth so shareholders will be racing virtually immediately.
Please feel free to contact me on the details below if you would like to get involved or for further information.

This is Miss Marly’s second litter. Her first litter produced the so far four time group one finalist in Countess of Cork and the talented but enigmatic Karteish Courty. Melbourne trainer Geoff Mitchell was training another one of the litter kennel named “Dash” which he had substantial raps on but unfortunately broke a leg in a trial at Warragul and subsequently it never raced.
