 On a cold dark and dreary night and in sheets of persistent rain the dark overcast sky sets the perfect backdrop for the ancient Yakuza society to work their lethal art. A flash of lightning is all that is required to provide a window of visibility for the fleet footed Assassins to ruthlessly and efficiently complete their gruesome assignments. Neither a single sign of an entrance nor the slightest hint of a departure but a path of devastation left behind is damning evidence of their presence. Race twelve at Mandurah tonight was one such scene. The Diamond Bennett trained Yakuza Assassin appeared from nowhere, proceeding to slice, dice and ice his opponents before slipping silently away unnoticed into the night. |

 The fireworks are going off early. The second last week of the 2010 Rapt In Racing Tipping competition began erupting and then exploded as the twelve race card turned up some massive leader board developments. Round nine was actually won by competition sponsor, the Corfield Newsagency with a total of $44.44 which was just 14 cents clear of the second placed Anthony Byrne. But the big news is that after four weeks in a row at the top Sean Kavanagh has been headed. Chris “Point 04” Halse has jumped out of the ground and has timed his run to what may be perfection. Halsey has taken the overall lead by a mere 8 cents from Kavanagh. On top of all that, round nine has thrown up the first Penguin of the year. George Maher went right through the twelve races of the round laying a set of duck eggs each race. So ladies and gentlemen get your backside trackside as George Maher performs the Penguin at Cannington. |
