Unfortunately the career of the Dockerland Racing syndicate’s much loved stayer Tawqeet Delta has finally come to an end. Old Pat as Tawqeet Delta is known by connections, was telling Jimmy “The Gun” Millsteed that he had had enough of the racing scene and then in his last run he injured a foot which would have put him out for at least two months. The plan was to give him a feature series finale in the Paradise Street Tropy but it failed to eventuate. The injury prone greyhound owes the syndicate nothing. He did his job and provided the Dockerland guys with a taste of group one racing when he qualified for the 2009 Galaxy at Cannington under the expert tutelage of trainer Nathan Iwanyk. The once might Delta dog will now finish up on Retirement Lane.

Round 8 to Quinlivan by $1.40

The final weeks are proving highly competitive as those off the pace throw everything, kitchen sink included, into finding some much needed funds. But the man having a belter of a competition in Steve Quinlivan is proving to be Mr. Consistent as he has put together yet another impressive round of tips to take out the 8th round with a tally of $56.80. Steve holds the lead in the Most Consecutive Dividends Returned competition and looks set for a dinner for two at Greyhounds WA and now he has a magnificent Angry Almond Hamper for an entree.
