Owner of the Angry Almond and major sponsor of the Rapt In Racing dollar each way competition, Brett “Bling” Ling has pimped up week nine and put his opponents away taking off the round with a big $50 result. Blingy Ling can thank Spring Sensation in race 5 for saluting 1st to return a massive $31 result. As he was the only punter to find the bolter it was the knockout blow which got him over the line. He only just held on though because Talgi Jihad was all over him on $49.60 but couldn’t get past and Madelaine Kelly was a further 40 cents away on $49.20.

A long time ago I received a phone call from a mate on a Sunday morning after a big Saturday night on the town. The person, who shall remain nameless, said to me in these precise words, “What happened last night? I’ve lost my car, I’ve got a black eye, I’ve got two different shoes on, I have no idea where I am and fair dinkum I’ve woken up next to this girl that I reckon a tsunami wouldn’t take out!” I thought that was one rough night! But that night was a Teddy Bear’s picnic compared to what the punters went through in tonight’s round eight at Cannington.
